Paul Cocksedge Studio

Internationally acclaimed design studio Paul Cocksedge Studio are known for their innovative designs underpinned by research and technology. Engaged by Sino Property Group, Paul Cocksedge Studio designed Time Loop, a bespoke sculptural seating installation for Yue Man Square in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong.

Inspired by the history of Yue Man Square, Time Loop was designed to reflect the area’s ongoing transformation, as well as Kwun Tong’s optimistic spirit. Reminiscent of the infinity symbol, Time Loop’s form creates spaces for passers-by to sit, relax and become immersed in the installation. Engraved in two languages within the timber frame is an ‘infinite’ poem that reflects upon the passage of time.

Time Loop was made at UAP’s Shanghai workshop, using sustainably sourced steam-bent timber. Working closely with Paul Cocksedge Studio and Sino Property Group, UAP’s Shanghai team assisted in the material exploration, fabrication and installation of this project.
